Beckstones Farmhouse

'What can we say! fab farmhouse, great fires, very comfortable. Must be great too in the summer......We'll be back!'

'We like the downstairs shower, the herb garden, spacious living accomodation; the stream is great for children. Walk up High Burney and Low Burney, trout fishing at Esthwaite, Sellafield Visitor Centre...great for a wet day. Ulverston 10 minutes away - you can buy anything!'

'We're back... and oh what fun we had, discovering new muscles in our legs! We went back to our local, the Manor Inn in Broughton - very cosy. Market day in Ulverston is fun and very cheap. All good clean fun!'

'The Farmhouse has been lovely! Never-ending space even with 13 of us! The views and the surrounding countryside are going to be missed! Conquered Scafell Pike - although it very nearly killed me. I'm still suffering! All in all - Excellent farmhouse, excellent company.....excellent weekend - thank you!'

Old Beckstones

'We had a lovely time here in Old Beckstones. The house was really well equipped and cosy. Super meal at the Black Cock Inn on Sunday, definitely recommend it and there were so many things to see and do - I'm sure we will be back soon. Thanks for everything especially the wine!'

'The cottage surpassed all our expectations. Could not have wished for a more luxurious base from which to explore. Ulverston decked out for Christmas was festive magic and the Beatrix Potter museum was delightful. Hope to revisit next year. PS Many thanks for the wine. It was a lovely welcome! Beckstones Cottage

'We have loved every minute of our stay in Beckstones Cottage and will miss it terribly. The cottage is cozy and comfortable and is furnished beautifully.

'Had a fabulous honeymoon at Beckstones Cottage and it went far too fast. The weather has been beautiful as was the scenery and location. Everything in the cottage was perfect, we wanted for nothing, except maybe winning the lottery and buying it! Can't wait to come back again and hopefully soon.'

'We've had many holidays in the lake district but this is the best accommodation by far. Had a lovely week and was able to visit my daughter at Lancaster uni as well. Beckstones has been furnished with a homely hand and made very welcoming. Very easy to relax the moment you arrive - well done!

The Cart House

Keepers Cottage

Cottage very well equipped and comfortable and a good base to explore the Lake District as well as being spectacular itself! Visited Coniston, Hawkshead, Ambleside, Furness Abbey, Haverthwaite Steam railway to Lakeside. Walked in Grizedale Forest - recommended.'
